Dropbox is very useful and will continue to be so even when developers start to use the iCloud API to create apps that will give the doc synchronisation between iOS and Mac.
It will take a better implementation of the iCloud sync than happens with the iWork iCloud apps right now. At the moment there not a full round tripping service between iOS devices and Mac OSX. Going between iOS devices is OK but that is not good enough.
