There are database applications that you can use it on iOS that our specialist to a specific purpose, such as shopping list, teachers class list, Art database. Personally I think it is a good idea to have one configurable database application that you can use for a whole lot of different purposes. That is why I find with using Bento it is pretty good for synchronising your data between iOS and your Mac.
